Financial help

It can be difficult finding the money to pay for the upfront costs of moving into accommodation. Costs like paying a bond and rent in advance can add up.

If you need help with the costs of moving into a residential service, there are options available to support you.

Bond loan

You may be eligible for a bond loan. A bond loan is an interest-free and fee-free loan to cover the rental bond when you move into private rental accommodation.

The loan amount is a maximum of 4 weeks rent and must be repaid. Find out more about bond loans.

Rental assistance

If you are currently renting but need temporary help to keep paying the rent, there is support available through the Queensland Government rental assistance schemes. See financial help with renting.

Other support

Sometimes you may just need some financial counselling or help applying for rental properties.
